Verde ascuns...

On The Road - Ep. 1

As I mentioned in this post, here's the first of a few posts "on the road" shots. Included URLs to Google Maps for the ones I was able to localize.

Somewhere on the E60 road, from Predeal to Brasov
- Summer of 2006

On E58, from Bistrita to Vatra Dornei, on the Tihuta pass, somewhere near Dracula's Castle (the Hotel & Restaurant)
- Winter of 2007 (around Christmas)

The Anghel Saligny Bridge (former King Carol I Bridge) on the Romanian A2 Highway (also part of E60) over the Danube, near Fetesti
- Summer of 2008.

The Grossglockner High Alpine Road, in Austria's mountains. We were going towards the peak.
- Summer of 2009. be continued...

November Sunset

My wife came home today and caught a great sunset. Thankfully, she took some great shots of it. I really like all the colors of the clouds. She said the shades kept changing every minute until the night fully settled in.
So, all credits (again) go to my sweet wife (also visible in the watermarks).

On The Road - series...

I'm gonna start a series of photos containing only shots taken from the car, "on the road".
I stumbled upon a few of these, then I realized that I have a lot of this kind of photos (since 2006) that would probably get lost if I don't put them all together.
However, there are too many photos to put in just 1 post, so I'll make it a series.
So, keep in touch!

PS. I should mention that nearly ALL those pictures were taken by my wife (since I was kinda busy driving...). So all credits on these should go to her!

Old School Photo Tools - Ep. 2

I posted a picture of the LOMO LUBITEL (an old russian TLR camera) a few months back.

Well, here are some more nice old photo tools (courtesy of my wife's uncle):

The Japanese YASHICA PARTNER AF, a compact 35 mm camera with auto-focus and auto-exposure (was produced from 1984 to 1986).

The old Russian SMENA SYMBOL, a very popular 35 mm camera model from LOMO (which was produced from 1973 to 1993)

Third comes "la piece de resistance", the very popular Russian ZENIT ET, a veritable 35 mm SLR camera with inter-changeable lens (was produced between 1981 and 1982 at KMZ and between 1985 and 1990 by Belomo).
(BTW, according to, this model was produced in more than 3 milion units)

And last (but not least), a very old magnifying table to develop 35 mm film onto bigger print-outs. Now those were times when you had to really, really work to get a good photo out...
